Privacy Policy — Atelier Studio
Effective date: August 1, 2026
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Service: Atelier Studio, available at https://www.atelierstudio.ai (the “Service”)
Operator: Atelier Studio, a New York LLC (“Atelier,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Privacy contact: admin@atelierstudio.ai
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you use the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge this Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This notice is meant to be consistent with the Federal Trade Commission Act, the New York SHIELD Act, the New York Child Data Protection Act, the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and other U.S. state privacy laws to the extent they apply to us.
2. Information we collect
We collect:
- Account information from Google sign-in or Sign in with Apple, such as your email address, name, and profile photo, if the provider gives them to us. We do not receive your password from either provider. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple gives us a relay address instead of your own, and we use that address the same way we would use any other.
- Wardrobe information you provide, such as collection names and descriptions, item names, and photos of clothing.
- Information we infer from your photos, such as garment type, color, and similar attributes used to organize your closet and suggest outfits.
- Limited product activity if you are signed in, such as that you signed in, opened a part of the app, uploaded items, or generated outfits. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics pixels.
- Technical information that our hosting providers receive automatically, such as IP address and browser type. The site also loads fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address when a page loads.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment cards, government IDs, or precise location as its own field. A photo you upload may still include people, your surroundings, and location data stored in the file by your camera.
3. Photos
Photos are the most sensitive information we handle.
When you upload a photo, we store it in order to provide the Service, and we send it to Google so the Service can identify garments and create catalog-style images. For Shop similar, we send the isolated catalog image of that garment — not the original photo — to SerpAPI, which runs a visual search so it can find visually similar items at retailers. This happens automatically shortly after you add an item, so the matches are ready when you open it, and again at most once a month for an item you keep opening. If you share a look as a link, the shopping matches we already found for those garments are copied into the share, so whoever opens the link can see them. Photos may show you or other people, a home or dressing room, and metadata such as GPS coordinates. We do not currently remove faces or that metadata.
Do not upload photos of children, or of other people who have not agreed to this use. If a law that applies to you requires consent before a photo of a face is stored, do not upload photos that include identifiable faces.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and maintain your account;
- provide wardrobe, tagging, image, outfit, and shop-similar features;
- operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- communicate with you about the Service, security, or this Policy; and
- comply with law and prevent abuse.
We do not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or use it to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you (such as credit, housing, or employment). Outfit suggestions are a product feature, not that kind of decision.
We do not use your photos to train a generative-AI model of our own. Google’s use of data we send to it is governed by Google’s terms for the services we use, which we do not control.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Google, for sign-in and for the AI features described above;
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple;
- SerpAPI, which runs the visual search behind Shop similar;
- Supabase, for accounts, database, and file storage; and
- Vercel, for hosting the website.
A small number of operators may access account information to run the Service, including to disable or delete an account.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect Atelier or others, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. We do not share your wardrobe photos with other users. The Service is not a social network.
6. Retention, choices, and deletion
We keep your information while your account is open and as needed to provide the Service.
You may edit and delete items and collections in the app. You may sign out, stop uploading photos, and revoke Atelier’s access — in your Google account settings if you signed in with Google, or under Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple on your Apple device if you signed in with Apple.
You can delete your account from within the app, under Profile. Deleting asks you to type a confirmation, then removes your sign-in, your wardrobe data, and the photos you uploaded. It cannot be undone and it cannot be aimed at anyone else — the app can only ever delete the account it is signed in as.
To request a copy of your information, or a correction you cannot make yourself, email admin@atelierstudio.ai from the address on the account. You can also ask us to delete the account that way if you would rather not do it in the app. Copies may remain for a limited time in backups or logs, or as required by law.
We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. We may decline a request as permitted by law, including if we cannot verify you.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, consistent with New York law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for the security of the device and of the Google or Apple account you use to access the Service.
If we discover a breach of “private information” of a New York resident as defined by New York law, we will notify affected residents and the required New York agencies as promptly as required, and in any event within thirty (30) days of discovery, unless law enforcement requires a delay. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact us immediately at admin@atelierstudio.ai.
8. Children
The Service is for adults. It is not directed to children or minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete the account. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact admin@atelierstudio.ai.
9. Your privacy rights
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denied request. Email admin@atelierstudio.ai. We will respond within the time applicable law requires.
New York residents have the security and breach-notification protections described above. New York does not currently grant a general statutory right to access or delete personal information comparable to some other states. We will nonetheless consider such requests.
10. International users
The Service is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information will be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted at https://www.atelierstudio.ai/privacy. If we make a material change, we will provide additional notice appropriate to the change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where law requires opt-in consent.
